My goal is to help you have a better relationship with your dog. To strengthen the bond between owner and dog. By helping my clients have a better understanding of their dogs and how they think and interact with the world around them, the lines of communication open and we are better able to accomplish our goals. Understanding their needs and what they are trying to tell us and being able to communicate back, effectively, further strengthens the bond they have with their beloved furry friend.

As a small boy, I always had a way with dogs, which lead me to helping family and friends with their dogs. As a young man, I began volunteering with animal shelters, taking on their troubled dogs for rehabilitation. During my time at the shelter, I had experience with many dogs that were brought in or abandoned because of behavioral issues. Most of them could have been corrected if the owners had a better understanding of how to communicate with their dog. During that time I worked with some of the worst of the behavior cases which I rehabilitated and saw go to loving homes. The multitude of troubled dogs taught me more about dogs and myself than any classroom could have. It was during that time that I made it my goal to educate owners and help them achieve the relationship that they are seeking when they bring a dog into their lives. I then struck out to learn from others with different philosophies and methods, honing my own unique approach, and on that quest I have been able to learn from some of best. I have now been training dogs and their owners professionally for over 15 years.
Along my dog training path, I found the International Association of Canine Professionals. The IACP is an organization of the highest standards and houses some of the great names in dog training...such as Martin Deeley, Brother Christopher Savage and Dr. Wendy Volhard, just to name a few. I have had the distinct pleasure to learn from, work with, and share ideas with many of them. As I made myself known,I was honored to be elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the IACP. I was then honored again when the BoD elected me to serve as their Vice President.
I work diligently to help owners and trainers alike in achieving balance and companionship with their dogs. I also participate regularly in dog training and dog behavior workshops and seminars with some of the most renowned dog trainers in the world in order to further expand my knowledge and understanding as well as help others to do the same. I also hold three of the most stringent certifications in the industry, and BBB accredited. I have been published by and featured on NBC13, Fox6, and other publications, featured as the "go-to dog guy" for Central Alabama's Talk 99.5 FM and presented to professional trainers at international education conferences. I'm honored and humbled to be a part of your dog's life.
